JKAS Prelims Held as Scheduled Despite Postponement Requests and Travel Disruptions

Srinagar, 07-12-25 (ANB): The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has turned down requests from Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Education Minister Sakeena Itoo to delay the Combined Competitive Examination for the Jammu & Kashmir Administrative Services (JKAS). The preliminary examination was conducted today, Sunday, December 7, 2025, as originally scheduled.

The appeals for postponement surfaced amid severe disruption to air travel across the country, including the cancellation of 16 flights to and from Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. It remains uncertain whether any candidates were unable to return to the Union Territory in time for the test due to suspended flight operations.
