Srinagar: Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan on Saturday visited forward areas in North Kashmir to assess the anti-infiltration grid and the overall operational preparedness of the formations deployed along the Line of Control (LoC).
During the visit, the CDS was briefed on the evolving threat landscape, the prevailing security scenario, and the readiness posture of the troops to effectively respond to emerging challenges. He reviewed the measures in place to counter infiltration attempts and ensure robust border management.
Addressing the Corps troops, General Chauhan underscored the need to prepare for futuristic challenges, highlighting the significance of multi-domain warfare. He emphasised that jointness among the services, integration of advanced technology, and sustained training would remain key pillars of the armed forces’ strategy.
The CDS also exhorted troops deployed in forward areas to maintain unwavering vigilance and operational dominance along the LoC. He stressed the importance of pre-empting, intercepting, and decisively neutralising any inimical attempts, reaffirming the armed forces’ commitment to safeguarding national security.
