Jammu, 28th April 2025 — A one-day Civil Defence awareness camp was successfully conducted at MAM College, Jammu, under the supervision of Deputy Controller Civil Defence, Jammu. The event saw active participation from over 300 students, including NCC cadets and college staff.
During the session, Civil Defence experts imparted crucial knowledge on First Aid, Firefighting, CPR, and other essential life-saving techniques. Practical demonstrations on these subjects were also carried out to enhance students' understanding and readiness.
The primary objective of the programme was to educate the youth on preventive and responsive measures during natural and man-made disasters. On the occasion, Dy. SP Zia Ul Haq, Deputy Controller Civil Defence Jammu, delivered an insightful lecture on Disaster Management, emphasizing the critical role of the Civil Defence organization.
College Principal Ms. Archana Koul expressed her appreciation for the initiative and thanked the Civil Defence team for their efforts. The event was also attended by Sh. Paramjeet Kumar, Chief Warden Civil Defence Jammu; Sh. R. Vijay Magotra, Deputy Chief Warden Civil Defence Jammu; Sh. Sandeep Bhatt, Sector Warden CD Jammu; and other college staff members.
