Srinagar, May 19: In a proud moment for J&K Bank, its Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Muneer Hassan Kongawani, has been awarded the coveted ‘CISO of the Year’ title at ESCON 2025 — South Asia’s leading cybersecurity summit. Organised by StrategINK Pvt. Ltd., the conference was held in Goa from May 16 to 18.
The award was presented by Amitabh Kant, India’s G20 Sherpa and former CEO of NITI Aayog, in recognition of Kongawani’s outstanding leadership and impactful contributions to the field of cybersecurity and information risk management.
In addition, just a day prior to the ESCON award, Kongawani was recognised as one of the ‘Smart CISOs of India’ by CIO AXIS — a distinguished platform that celebrates transformative leaders in IT and cybersecurity.
