*MLA to Raise Demand for District Status for Ramnagar in Upcoming Assembly Session

Jammu, March 25: The Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Ramnagar Dr . Sunil Bhardwaj is set to raise the long-pending demand for granting district status to the region in the upcoming Assembly session, which is scheduled to resume from the 27th.
According to sources, the legislator is preparing to strongly highlight the issue in the House, terming it a matter of public importance and a long-standing aspiration of the people of Ramnagar. The demand is expected to be raised during discussions, with emphasis on administrative efficiency and balanced regional development.
The BJP Senior Leader & MLA has maintained that the absence of district status has led to delays in governance and public service delivery, as residents remain dependent on distant administrative centers. He is likely to urge the government to take a proactive approach and consider the demand on priority.
The issue has consistently found support among local residents and civil society groups, who view district status as a crucial step towards ensuring better infrastructure, governance, and accessibility of essential services.
The upcoming session is expected to witness focused deliberations on key regional issues, with the Ramnagar district status demand likely to feature prominently. ANB.
