NCB Busts Two Illegal Drug Laboratories in Greater Noida, Two Arrested
Greater Noida: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has dismantled two clandestine drug manufacturing laboratories in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, and seized substantial quantities of synthetic drugs, precursor chemicals and laboratory equipment. Two individuals, including a foreign national, have been arrested in connection with the operation.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah congratulated the NCB on the operation, describing it as an example of intelligence-led enforcement against illegal drug manufacturing and trafficking networks.
Shah said the action reflected the government's commitment to dismantling drug cartels by December 2029, in line with the Vision Document on Narcotics Control 2026–2029.
The initiative forms part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's broader Nasha Mukt Bharat mission, which aims to combat drug abuse and curb the illicit narcotics trade across the country.
The seizure of synthetic drugs, precursor chemicals and specialised equipment is expected to help investigators examine the scale of the alleged manufacturing operations and establish whether the facilities were connected to wider drug trafficking networks.
The arrests and seizures highlight the role of intelligence-based enforcement in identifying illegal drug production facilities and disrupting the supply chains involved in the manufacture and distribution of narcotics.
Further details regarding the types and quantities of drugs seized, the identities of the arrested individuals and the alleged network's activities were not available in the information provided.
The investigation is expected to establish the extent of the operations and determine whether other individuals were involved in the alleged illegal activities. ANB
