Rajya Sabha MP Ghulam Ali Khatana Inaugurates Three-Day ‘Rise in Jammu & Kashmir 2026’ Exhibition at SKICC
Srinagar, June 17: Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Er. Ghulam Ali Khatana on Wednesday inaugurated the three-day national exhibition “Rise in Jammu & Kashmir 2026” at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC), Srinagar.
The exhibition brings together Union Government ministries, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), and premier national research institutions to showcase India's achievements in infrastructure, science and technology, healthcare, agriculture, renewable energy, and other key sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, Khatana said the exhibition provides a common platform for government institutions and public sector organisations to highlight their latest public welfare initiatives, technological innovations, and developmental projects.
The exhibition features participation from several leading organisations, including NHPC, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), APEDA, Northern Railway, IRCTC, POWERGRID, NTPC, REC, NAFED, TRIFED, NBCC, HURL, National Fertilizers Limited (NFL), and the Department of Atomic Energy.
Khatana said the three-day event offers students, entrepreneurs, innovators, and researchers an opportunity to interact directly with institutions contributing to India's development and technological advancement. He added that such initiatives would help strengthen innovation, knowledge-sharing, and entrepreneurship in Jammu and Kashmir.
Highlighting the region's developmental trajectory, the Rajya Sabha MP said Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing a new phase of growth and that exhibitions of this nature reinforce the vision of building a self-reliant and globally competitive India.
He also congratulated the organisers and participating institutions for organising the exhibition and showcasing the country's scientific, technological, and developmental progress. ANB
