Raksha Bandhan Celebrated as a Symbol of Communal Harmony and Brotherhood

Srinagar, August 31: Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with a strong message of communal harmony and brotherhood, as Babita Bhat, National General Secretary of the All India Panchayat Parishad, Executive Member of the BJP’s parent organisation and former State Vice-President of the Mahila Morcha, tied Rakhi to people belonging to Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Christian communities. The gathering witnessed a warm and festive atmosphere, with participants coming together to celebrate the spirit of mutual respect, unity and social harmony. Speaking on the occasion, Babita Bhat said the celebration was a reaffirmation of the bonds that unite people beyond religious and social identities. She called for continued collective efforts to strengthen communal harmony and peaceful coexistence in Jammu and Kashmir. Participants, speaking with one voice, expressed their solidarity with the Kashmiri Pandit community and pledged to work alongside its members for the restoration and strengthening of their social and cultural ties with the wider community. They said the Kashmiri Pandit community is an integral part of the social fabric of Jammu and Kashmir and stressed the importance of rebuilding trust, brotherhood and shared belonging.The Raksha Bandhan gathering concluded with a collective commitment to promote unity, fraternity and peaceful coexistence among all communities.
