Katra, June 5: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha conducted a comprehensive review of the preparations underway in Katra ahead of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s scheduled public meeting on June 6.

During his visit, the Lieutenant Governor assessed the arrangements to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the event. He instructed officials to implement robust security and safety protocols and emphasized seamless coordination among all departments.

Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will dedicate several landmark infrastructure projects to the nation, including the world’s tallest railway bridge—the Chenab Bridge—India’s first cable-stayed rail bridge—the Anji Bridge—and the complete Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project.

Speaking on the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor said, “The dedication of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is a monumental leap forward for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Under his leadership, the UT has grown stronger and more prosperous, experiencing record development and progress.”

He further noted, “The much-anticipated inauguration of the Chenab and Anji rail bridges, along with the launch of the Vande Bharat trains, will be a historic moment not only for Jammu and Kashmir but for the entire nation. These transformative projects will shape a brighter future for the UT and its citizens.”
