Administrative Reshuffle: Seven IAS Officers Transferred in J&K


Srinagar, July 12: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Jammu and Kashmir Government on Saturday ordered the transfer and posting of seven IAS officers with immediate effect.

According to an official order issued by the General Administration Department, the transfers have been made "in the interest of administration."

Key Transfers and Postings:

Dr. Ashish Chandra Verma (IAS, AGMUT:1994), currently awaiting posting, has been appointed as Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Tourism Department. He will also hold additional charge as Administrative Secretary, Planning, Development and Monitoring Department.

Anil Kumar Singh (IAS, AGMUT:1995), Principal Secretary, Social Welfare Department, who also held additional charge of the Mining Department, has been transferred as Principal Secretary, Public Works (R&B) Department. He will continue to oversee the Mining Department till further orders.

Yasha Mudgal (IAS, AGMUT:2007), Commissioner/Secretary, Tourism Department, has been posted as Commissioner/Secretary, Youth Services and Sports Department.

Sarmad Hafeez (IAS, AGMUT:2009), Commissioner/Secretary, Youth Services and Sports Department, has been moved to the Social Welfare Department in the same capacity.

Talat Parvez Rohella (IAS, AGMUT:2010), Secretary, Planning, Development and Monitoring Department, is now posted as Chairman, Bureau of Public Enterprises, J&K.

Bhupinder Kumar (IAS, AGMUT:2011), Secretary, Public Works (R&B) Department, who was also handling multiple additional charges including Director Census Operations and Resident Commissioner, has been appointed as Resident Commissioner, J&K Government, New Delhi. He will retain his other responsibilities for now.

Ananth Dwivedi (IAS, AGMUT:2021), CEO, State Health Agency, and Mission Director, Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Mission, J&K, will also serve as Additional Secretary to the Government, Revenue Department, in addition to his current roles.


The reshuffle has been ordered by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.
