Amit Sharma Reviews Census Preparedness in Kulgam, Calls for Accurate Data Collection and Public Support
KULGAM, June 3: Chief Principal Census Officer (CPCO) and Director of Census Operations (DCO), Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Amit Sharma on Wednesday reviewed the district’s preparedness for the forthcoming Census and the ongoing House Listing Operation (HLO) during a meeting held at the Mini Secretariat, Kulgam.
The meeting was attended by Principal Census Officer Kulgam Shahzad Alam, District Census Officer, Charge Officers, Enumerators, and Supervisors.
The review focused on arrangements made for the Census exercise and the implementation of the first phase of the House Listing Operation, which is being conducted from June 1 to June 30 across the district.
During the meeting, Amit Sharma assessed the preparedness of the district administration and stressed the importance of accurate data collection, timely execution of tasks, and effective coordination among field functionaries.
Addressing the officers and field staff, the CPCO underscored the significance of the Census as a key national exercise and urged Enumerators and Supervisors to perform their duties with dedication, professionalism, and a sense of responsibility to ensure the successful completion of the House Listing Operation.
The meeting also discussed various aspects of census-related activities, including field-level coordination, operational challenges, and the need for active public cooperation to facilitate the smooth conduct of the enumeration process.
