Jammu, November 3, 2025:
The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh Region, on Monday organized a workshop on Public Information Disclosure and Protection of Informers Resolution (PIDPI) at its Regional Office in Jammu.
The event was held as part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, aimed at sensitizing regional and field-level employees about promoting ethics, integrity, and transparency in public administration.
In his keynote address, Sh. Ghulam Abbas, Director, CBC J&K and Ladakh Region, urged officers and staff to uphold honesty in their professional conduct and work collectively to eliminate corruption at every level.
Welcoming the participants, Ms. Ayushi Puri, Deputy Director, CBC Jammu, outlined the objectives of the workshop and highlighted the significance of Vigilance Awareness Week as an annual initiative to strengthen ethical governance.
Sh. Kamal Sangra, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau, J&K, delivered a detailed presentation on the PIDPI Resolution (2014). He explained its key provisions and underlined its critical role in protecting whistleblowers and promoting accountability within public institutions.
Referring to cases of crimes against whistleblowers in India, Sangra emphasized the continuing relevance of the PIDPI framework in safeguarding those who expose corruption. He also highlighted this year’s theme — “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility” — which, he said, underscores the collective duty of citizens to combat corruption.
The workshop was attended by senior officers and staff, including Sh. Naseer Ahmad Rather, Field Publicity Officer Srinagar; Sh. Shahid Mohammad Lone, FPO Anantnag; Sh. Zakir Nazeer, Media and Communication Officer, PIB Jammu; Sh. Ashwani Gupta, Senior Accounts Officer, CBC Jammu; and Sh. Om Prakash Maurya, Administrative Officer, CBC Jammu.
