Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, MHA Additional Secretary Nitesh Vyas Review Centrally Sponsored Schemes, J&K Development Projects
Srinagar, October 3: Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo and Additional Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Nitesh Vyas, today co-chaired a high-level meeting at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) to review the implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes and ongoing development projects in Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting focused on assessing the progress of key schemes and projects, strengthening implementation mechanisms and ensuring that development initiatives translate into tangible benefits for the people.
Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo stressed the need for an outcome-oriented approach, observing that flagship schemes should not remain confined to achieving numerical targets but must generate sustainable and long-term benefits for citizens.
He directed the concerned departments to accelerate the completion of ongoing projects, ensure optimum utilisation of available funds and work towards comprehensive coverage of eligible beneficiaries under various schemes.
The Chief Secretary also emphasised the importance of strengthening field-level monitoring mechanisms to ensure effective implementation, timely identification of bottlenecks and adherence to prescribed timelines.
The meeting reviewed the progress of various Centrally Sponsored Schemes and development projects, with emphasis on timely execution, effective utilisation of resources and improved delivery of government programmes at the grassroots level.
The departments concerned were directed to maintain close coordination and adopt a proactive approach to address implementation-related issues so that the intended objectives of the schemes and projects are achieved within stipulated timelines. ANB
