Budgam, June 03: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo, today flagged off the annual Mata Kheer Bhawani Yatra 2025 from Pandit Colony Sheikhpora, marking the commencement of the sacred journey towards the revered shrines at Tulmulla in Ganderbal and Tikker in Kupwara.
On this auspicious occasion of Mela Kheer Bhawani, the DC extended his warmest greetings and heartfelt wishes to all devotees. Interacting with the pilgrims, he conveyed his best wishes for a safe, comfortable, and spiritually fulfilling journey.
The DC also reviewed the logistical arrangements in place, including transportation facilities, and assured that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure smooth travel to and from both Tulmulla and Tikker.
The yatra commenced amidst religious fervour and enthusiastic participation by devotees. The main congregation is scheduled to take place today at the Mata Kheer Bhawani temple in Tulmulla, Ganderbal, on the sacred day of Zyesht Ashtami.
Present on the occasion were Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Budgam, ARTO Budgam, Tehsildar Budgam, district officials, and a large number of devotees.
