DC Changthang Reviews Road Safety, Calls for Identification of Accident-Prone Spots on PMGSY Roads
NYOMA, NOVEMBER 4: Deputy Commissioner, Changthang, Nitish Rajora, IAS, today chaired a meeting to review road safety concerns and identify vulnerable and accident-prone locations along PMGSY roads across Changthang district.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on identifying vulnerable road stretches and accident-prone spots that could pose risks to commuters. The deliberations also focused on preventive measures to minimise road accidents and ensure safer road connectivity.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for a thorough assessment of vulnerable locations and called for timely preventive interventions, strengthened road safety measures and close coordination among the departments concerned.
He directed the concerned officials to identify accident-prone spots and take appropriate corrective measures to address potential safety hazards and safeguard commuters.The meeting was attended by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Nyoma, and Block Development Officers (BDOs).
