Sopore, Feb 24 (ANB): Director General of Police, J&K, Nalin Prabhat on Monday reviewed the security scenario in Police District Sopore and chaired a high-level meeting to assess operational preparedness and prevailing law and order conditions.
The DGP was accompanied by SDG Coordination S.J.M. Geelani, IGP Kashmir V.K. Birdi and DIG North Kashmir Range Maqsood-ul-Zaman.
During the meeting, SSP Sopore Iftkhar Talib briefed the chair on the overall security landscape of the district, including counter-terror operations, anti-narcotics initiatives and law and order management. The review also covered the operational strategy, intelligence framework, area domination plans and steps being taken to dismantle the terror ecosystem.
Addressing the officers, the DGP called for sustained and focused action against elements aiding terrorism. He directed intensified operations against Pakistani terrorists and stressed the need to strengthen intelligence gathering, maintain operational momentum and ensure seamless coordination among all security agencies.
The meeting was attended by the SSP Sopore, Additional SP Sopore, all SDPOs, DySP Operations, SHOs and DOs of the district.
The DGP appreciated the efforts of the Sopore Police and urged officers to remain vigilant and proactive in maintaining peace and stability in the area.
