Farooq Abdullah Rejects NC Rift Reports, Vows to Strengthen Party and Fight for Restoration of Statehood

SRINAGAR: National Conference (NC) president Dr Farooq Abdullah has dismissed reports of internal differences within the party, asserting that there are no divisions in its ranks. Flanked by several National Conference MLAs, Abdullah rejected speculation about a rift within the party and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the organisation. He said the party leadership would focus on consolidating its organisational structure and continue working towards the restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir. Abdullah's remarks come amid reports of discontent among certain party legislators, triggering speculation over internal differences within the ruling National Conference. However, the NC president maintained that the party remained united and reiterated his resolve to strengthen its organisational base while pursuing the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir's statehood.
