J&K Bank to Issue Recruitment Notification Today, Announces MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee , Bank Plans Over 60 New Branches by 2027; Premium Branch Inaugurated at Barzulla
Srinagar, November 6: Jammu and Kashmir Bank will issue its recruitment notification today, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Amitava Chatterjee announced on Friday raising expectations among job aspirants across Jammu and Kashmir.
The announcement was made during the inauguration of the bank’s Premium Branch at Barzulla in Srinagar. However, details regarding the number of vacancies, posts and application procedure were not specified in the announcement.
Highlighting the bank’s expansion strategy, Chatterjee said J&K Bank plans to establish more than 60 additional branches across its operational areas by the end of 2027. He said the expansion of the physical branch network would complement the bank’s ongoing digital transformation initiatives.
The MD & CEO inaugurated the Premium Branch at Barzulla, which has been designed primarily to cater to High Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs) through personalised banking services, specialised financial solutions and dedicated customer support. He also e-inaugurated an extension counter at the Police Control Room (PCR), Srinagar.
Addressing the gathering, Chatterjee said the new premium facility reflected the bank’s commitment to relationship-driven banking and providing customised financial services to customers seeking personalised attention and professional expertise.
He observed that despite the growing adoption of digital banking, physical branches continued to hold significance in providing direct assistance, guidance and customer support.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by GM and Divisional Head (Kashmir) Arshad Qadri, General Manager (BSD) Khursheed Muzaffar, Zonal Head (Srinagar) Sheikh Mohammad Muzaffar, Cluster Heads Syed Tasaduq Madni, Zahoor Ahmad Qanoongo and Subuhi Yaseen, besides other senior bank officials and prominent HNI clients.The recruitment announcement and proposed expansion of the branch network mark two significant developments in the bank’s future growth strategy.
