Ladakh Police to Begin Constabulary Recruitment Orientation Programme from September 10

Sham, September 2, 2026: District Police Sham on Wednesday organised a press briefing on the upcoming recruitment of Constables in the Ladakh Police, informing prospective candidates about the eligibility criteria, recruitment requirements and preparation process. During the briefing, SSP Sham urged aspiring candidates to carefully read the official recruitment notification and ensure that they meet all prescribed eligibility conditions before applying. The SSP also announced that District Police Sham will commence an orientation programme from September 10, 2026, to assist candidates preparing for the Constable recruitment process. The programme will focus on the written examination and physical endurance test, besides providing guidance on the examination pattern, physical standards and effective preparation strategies. The initiative is aimed at ensuring that prospective candidates have access to proper guidance and support, enabling them to approach the recruitment process with greater confidence and preparedness. District Police Sham said it remains committed to facilitating aspiring candidates through a fair, transparent and systematic recruitment process. The upcoming Constabulary recruitment will provide another opportunity for eligible youth of Ladakh to pursue a career in policing and contribute to society through dedicated public service. It also comes alongside the ongoing recruitment process for Sub-Inspectors in Ladakh, further expanding opportunities for local youth to join the law-enforcement system. ANB
