Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has expressed profound anguish over the loss of precious lives in the tragic accidental blast that occurred at the Nowgam Police Station in Srinagar.
In a post shared on X, the Lieutenant Governor stated:
“Deeply anguished by the loss of precious lives due to extremely tragic accidental blast at Nowgam Police Station in Srinagar. My condolences to the bereaved families. I pray for speedy recovery of the injured.”
Reaffirming the administration’s commitment to supporting those affected, the Lieutenant Governor added that the government stands firmly with the families, friends, and loved ones of those who lost their lives in the explosion. He further assured that all possible assistance is being extended to the injured and to the families of the deceased.
Manoj Sinha has also ordered a probe to ascertain the exact cause behind the accidental explosion, ensuring that the circumstances leading to the tragic incident are thoroughly investigated.
The administration continues to monitor the situation closely, prioritizing both relief measures and accountability.
