Lieutenant Governor Attends 40th Anniversary Celebration of Lawrence Public School in Jammu

Jammu, December 10, 2025:Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday called upon schools and educational institutions to prioritise the goal of “creating unique individuals for future challenges.”

He was speaking at the 40th anniversary celebration of Lawrence Public School at Abhinav Theatre in Jammu.

In his address, the Lieutenant Governor lauded the legacy, enduring values and contributions of Lawrence Public School toward holistic learning and shaping modern leaders. He said the institution, while upholding its core values, has produced successful alumni who continue to serve the nation with distinction.

Sinha said that critical thinking and curiosity remain the greatest strengths of students. He urged teachers and parents to allow children to learn according to their interests, passions and abilities so they can grow without undue pressure.

He emphasised that educational institutions must pay special attention to four key aspects: access, equity, quality and outcomes. The dual objective, he said, is to make students college-ready and future-ready, equipping them with continuously evolving skill sets and transforming them into 21st-century global citizens.

The Lieutenant Governor noted that the introduction of artificial intelligence will revolutionise classrooms by allowing teachers to use data analysis to better understand student capabilities and offer more effective mentoring. He added that hybrid classroom models, supported by digital platforms, will expand access to technology-driven education.

Sinha said the role of teachers is shifting from being information providers to mentors tasked with nurturing essential skills, creativity, dreams and determination in students. This also includes instilling traditions, language, values, love, compassion, non-violence and brotherhood.

During the event, the Lieutenant Governor felicitated several women achievers for their contributions in diverse fields.
