Srinagar, March 3, 2026: Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday chaired a high-level meeting of senior police and civil administration officials at the Police Control Room Kashmir to review the prevailing law and order situation in the Valley.
The meeting was attended by Nalin Prabhat, Director General of Police, J&K; S.J.M Gillani, Special DG (Coordination); Anand Jain, ADGP Armed; Nitish Kumar, ADGP CID; V.K Birdi, IGP Kashmir; Anshul Garg, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir; Rajiv Pandey, DIG Central Kashmir Range; Akshay Labroo, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, along with other senior officials.
During the meeting, the Lieutenant Governor directed officers to remain on heightened alert and take all necessary measures to maintain public peace and tranquility. He emphasized the need for coordinated efforts between police and civil administration to ensure stability across the region.
Appealing to citizens and community leaders, the Lieutenant Governor urged them to uphold harmony and contribute to fostering an atmosphere of calm and goodwill in society.
“Preserving peace and sustaining the progress of society is a shared responsibility that rests equally upon each one of us,” he said.
The Lieutenant Governor also shared details of the meeting on social media platform X, reiterating the administration’s commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring a peaceful environment in Jammu and Kashmir.
