Srinagar, May 24: As part of the ongoing Special National Integration Camp in Srinagar, the National Cadet Corps (NCC) will organise a 5-kilometre Unity Run themed “Run With Pride – Run for India” on Sunday morning to promote national integration, youth unity and patriotism. According to an official statement, nearly 500 NCC cadets representing different states and Union Territories from across the country are expected to participate in the event, symbolising the spirit of unity in diversity and national harmony. The Unity Run aims to strengthen the values of discipline, fitness, camaraderie and national pride among the youth while reinforcing the message of collective responsibility towards nation-building. The run will begin from Nishat Garden at 6:00 AM and culminate at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC), covering a scenic stretch along the banks of the iconic Dal Lake. The event will be jointly flagged off by Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Youth Services and Sports Satish Sharma and Director General NCC Lieutenant General Virendra Vats.
