Jammu, January 13, 2026:Shri Uchit Singhal, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Jammu Division of Northern Railway, called on Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha here today.
During the meeting, the Lieutenant Governor congratulated Shri Singhal on being conferred with the prestigious Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar–2025, which recognises his outstanding leadership and meticulous planning in managing train operations during Operation Sindoor and in the aftermath of the floods.
Shri Singhal briefed the Lieutenant Governor about the major milestones achieved by the newly established Jammu Railway Division during the calendar year 2025. He also apprised him of the key railway projects planned for 2026, focusing on infrastructure development, non-fare revenue generation, business expansion and measures aimed at enhancing passenger convenience.
The Lieutenant Governor appreciated the efforts being made to strengthen railway services in the region and emphasised the importance of efficient, passenger-friendly and future-ready rail infrastructure for the overall development of Jammu and Kashmir.
