Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma Reviews Security Situation in South Kashmir

Srinagar, September 30: Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma on Tuesday visited South Kashmir to review the prevailing security situation and take stock of the progress of ongoing Operation KORAG, officials said. During the visit, Lt Gen Sharma reviewed the operational preparedness of formations and units deployed in the area and assessed the progress of ongoing counter-terrorism operations. The Army Commander commended the troops for their coordination, dedication and perseverance during sustained counter-terrorism operations. He also reviewed the efforts of the formations in maintaining operational readiness and ensuring a coordinated response to emerging security challenges. The visit comes amid continued counter-terrorism operations in South Kashmir, where security forces remain focused on maintaining security and stability in the region.
