BJP MLA Raises Allegations Over Loans Sanctioned in Names of Women in Udhampur

Udhampur: A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator (MLA Amgard Udhampur)has raised concerns over an alleged case in Udhampur in which loans of around Rs 2 lakh each were reportedly obtained from the State Bank of India (SBI) in the names of nearly 200 women. According to the MLA, the women allegedly had no knowledge that loans had been sanctioned in their names. The legislator raised the matter while addressing the issue and called for the circumstances surrounding the alleged transactions to be examined. The allegations, if established, could raise questions regarding the processing and documentation of the loans and whether the beneficiaries had given informed consent for the transactions. The matter requires verification from the concerned bank authorities and other competent agencies to establish the facts, including the identity of the borrowers, the nature of the loans, the disbursement of funds and the circumstances under which the alleged transactions took place.
