CM Omar Abdullah Reviews Preparations for Darbar Move, Directs Departments to Ensure Hassle-Free Transition

Jammu: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today chaired a meeting to review preparations for the upcoming Darbar Move, emphasising the need for coordinated arrangements to ensure a smooth and convenient transition for employees moving to Jammu. During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the departments concerned to ensure seamless coordination, comfortable transportation, effective traffic and highway management, affordable and hygienic food services, and adequate medical facilities along the National Highway. Stressing the importance of employee welfare, Omar Abdullah instructed the concerned departments to ensure the timely availability of accommodation and special bus services for employees travelling to Jammu. He also called for proper sanitation and uninterrupted essential utilities at residential colonies and the Civil Secretariat in Jammu to facilitate the smooth functioning of government offices and provide a comfortable working environment for employees. The Chief Minister stressed the need for timely implementation of all necessary arrangements and effective coordination among departments to ensure that the Darbar Move is conducted smoothly and that employees do not face avoidable inconvenience during the transition.
