DGP Ladakh Inaugurates New Police Post, Barrack and Family Quarters at Choglamsar
Leh, October 9: Director General of Police (DGP), Union Territory of Ladakh, Anand Jain, IPS, Today inaugurated the newly constructed Police Post Choglamsar building and the Jawans’ Barrack-cum-Family Quarters at Choglamsar in Leh, marking a significant step towards strengthening police infrastructure and improving welfare facilities for police personnel.
The Police Post Choglamsar building has been constructed under the Special Development Programme through the National Projects Construction Corporation (NPCC). The Jawans’ Barrack and Family Quarters have also been completed under the same scheme.
The newly inaugurated facilities are expected to strengthen the operational capabilities of Ladakh Police in the area while providing improved accommodation for police personnel and their families.
The barrack and family quarters are aimed at improving living conditions for personnel, supporting their welfare and enabling them to perform their duties more effectively. The upgraded infrastructure is also expected to contribute to more efficient policing and improved service delivery to the public.
The inauguration underscores the continued efforts of Ladakh Police to modernise its infrastructure and create better working and residential facilities for its personnel.
Ladakh Police reiterated its commitment to strengthening institutional capacity and ensuring efficient, responsive and people-centric policing across the Union Territory. ANB
