Jitendra Singh Highlights Kashmir-Bollywood Bond, Sees Film Festival as Opportunity for Local Talent

Srinagar, September 7: Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh has described the relationship between Kashmir and Bollywood as deep and mutually enriching, saying both have contributed significantly to each other’s cultural and creative journey. Speaking at the International Film Festival of Jammu and Kashmir (IFFJK) in Srinagar, Dr Singh said the festival presents a valuable opportunity for the region’s youth and local artists to showcase their talent and explore new avenues in cinema. He said Kashmir has produced remarkable artistic talent and expressed confidence that such events could help revive the region’s cinematic culture, create opportunities for young people and strengthen the historic cultural connect between Kashmir and Bollywood. Dr Singh emphasised that sustained film-related activities could provide a meaningful platform for local talent while further showcasing Jammu and Kashmir’s rich cultural heritage and creative potential.
