J&K Bank Reviews Mission YUVA Progress, Honours Top Performers Across Kashmir , Mission Director lauds Bank’s role as principal financial partner in flagship employment initiative

SRINAGAR, August 19: Jammu & Kashmir Bank organised a review-cum-felicitation meeting at its Divisional Office Kashmir to assess the progress of Mission YUVA and recognise officials for their outstanding contribution to the flagship employment and entrepreneurship initiative across the Kashmir Division. The meeting was chaired by Director Employment and Mission YUVA Director Harvinder Singh (IAS), in the presence of J&K Bank Divisional Head Kashmir Arshad Qadri, Zonal Heads of Anantnag, Baramulla, Budgam, Pulwama and Srinagar, Cluster Heads of Srinagar, Kulgam and Anantnag-II, besides officials from various branches across the division. The review focused on strengthening field-level coordination, expediting the processing of eligible cases and ensuring continued support to beneficiaries to sustain the programme’s momentum. Outstanding performers from across the Kashmir Division were also felicitated for their contribution to the implementation of Mission YUVA. Appreciating J&K Bank’s role as the principal financial partner of Mission YUVA, Harvinder Singh commended the coordinated efforts of the Bank’s divisional, zonal, cluster and branch-level teams in achieving significant milestones under the programme. He said Mission YUVA seeks to channel the aspirations of young people into sustainable enterprises and meaningful livelihoods, adding that the Bank has played a vital role in taking the initiative to the grassroots through timely financial assistance, sustained handholding and close coordination with implementing agencies. “The commitment demonstrated by the Bank’s field teams gives us confidence that Mission YUVA will continue to generate enduring employment opportunities across Jammu and Kashmir,” he said. Speaking on the occasion, Arshad Qadri thanked the Mission Director for chairing the meeting and providing guidance to the Bank’s functionaries. He said Mission YUVA was not merely a financing programme for J&K Bank but an opportunity to nurture a new generation of confident and capable entrepreneurs. “Our teams across Kashmir remain fully committed to supporting eligible youth from identification and appraisal to disbursement and post-finance handholding, so that their ideas are transformed into sustainable ventures,” Qadri said. He added that the recognition accorded to the achievers would motivate the Bank’s teams to further expand outreach, improve case conversions and contribute meaningfully to the employment and entrepreneurship objectives of Mission YUVA. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Zonal Head, Srinagar. ANB
