J&K Projected as Year-Round Tourist Haven at TTF Kolkata 2025: CM Calls for Stronger Tourism Ties with Bengal

Kolkata, July 10 (ANB):
Jammu & Kashmir was showcased as a premier all-season tourism destination at the Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) Kolkata 2025, with the Union Territory’s Chief Minister inaugurating the prestigious event. He emphasized the longstanding cultural and tourism linkages between Jammu & Kashmir and West Bengal.

Addressing an audience of travel industry professionals, the Chief Minister lauded TTF Kolkata — India’s oldest and most trusted B2B travel trade show — as a vital platform for collaboration. He urged stakeholders from both regions to strengthen partnerships and explore new avenues for cultural and economic cooperation.

> “TTF opens new doors for mutual engagement,” he stated. “It offers an excellent opportunity for both Jammu & Kashmir and West Bengal to build upon our deep-rooted emotional and cultural ties, while fostering tourism-led economic growth.”

Highlighting J&K’s rapidly developing tourism infrastructure and diverse offerings — from snow-capped mountains to verdant valleys — the Chief Minister invited tourists from West Bengal to rediscover the Union Territory’s natural beauty, rich heritage, and renowned hospitality. He also outlined several investor-friendly policies aimed at positioning J&K as a top-tier travel destination.

This year’s edition of TTF Kolkata hosts over 500 exhibitors from 25 Indian states and 14 countries, drawing more than 5,500 travel professionals and stakeholders. The fair is widely regarded as a key networking hub ahead of the peak tourism season.

Officials from the Jammu & Kashmir Tourism Department noted that the Union Territory’s strong presence at the event reflects its strategic efforts to attract both domestic and international tourists, while forging meaningful partnerships to strengthen its tourism ecosystem.

The showcase at TTF Kolkata 2025 reaffirms Jammu & Kashmir’s growing stature on the national tourism map — not just as a seasonal retreat, but as a compelling destination for all seasons. ANB
