Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, BJP Media Incharge, Jammu & Kashmir, has termed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s landmark victory in the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation in Kerala, winning 50 of 100 seats, as a decisive endorsement of development-driven, accountable governance under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Dr. Pardeep stressed that the BJP’s strong performance on several other seats across Kerala further reflects a significant shift in public political consciousness.
Dr. Pardeep stated that the verdict goes beyond electoral arithmetic and signals a maturing voter preference for performance-based governance. The people of Kerala, long known for their political awareness, have demonstrated that transparency, institutional credibility, and long-term development now outweigh ideological rigidity and populism.
He emphasized that the BJP’s governing philosophy of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas, Sabka Vishwas” has increasingly resonated with citizens, as it integrates inclusive growth with participatory governance. This approach, he said, ensures that development is equitable, measurable, and socially just.
Highlighting the reasons for public acceptance, Dr. Pardeep pointed to the BJP-led government’s consistent focus on urban infrastructure, housing, sanitation, healthcare access, women-led development, digital governance, and entrepreneurship. Technology-enabled service delivery, direct benefit transfers, and an emphasis on transparency have strengthened trust between the state and citizens, redefining governance outcomes.
Dr. Pardeep further asserted that the BJP’s politics is rooted in empowerment rather than appeasement, with a clear commitment to the welfare of marginalized sections while safeguarding the constitutional rights and dignity of every Indian. This balanced approach, he said, has emerged as a credible alternative for voters seeking stability, opportunity, and social harmony.
Referring to the vision of Viksit Bharat, Dr. Pardeep said the Thiruvananthapuram mandate reflects Kerala’s aspiration to be an active stakeholder in a developed India, one that offers equal opportunity, dignified living standards, and economic dynamism. He described the victory as belonging to the people of Kerala, who have expressed their confidence in a future defined by prosperity, good governance, and inclusive national progress.
