Srinagar, November 2, 2025:
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today chaired a high-level meeting in Srinagar to review the security situation in the Kashmir Division.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo; Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat; Special Director General (Coordination) S.J.M. Gillani; Principal Secretary, Home Department, Chandraker Bharti; ADGP CID Nitish Kumar; Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor, Dr. Mandeep K. Bhandari; IGP Kashmir Vidhi Kumar Birdi; Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg, besides DIGs, Deputy Commissioners, and SSPs of the Kashmir Division.
The Lieutenant Governor directed officers to continuously assess ground situations, remain vigilant and prepared, and work with determination to eliminate terrorism from the Valley. He undertook a comprehensive review of various aspects of the security scenario and called for coordinated efforts to achieve the goal of a terrorism-free Jammu and Kashmir.
He instructed the Civil Administration and Police to work in close coordination to ensure effective law and order, security management, and the success of anti-terror operations.
> “We must adopt a 360-degree approach to completely dismantle terrorism and its support network,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
The Lieutenant Governor emphasized the need for a comprehensive strategy to counter fake news and false narratives. He also directed the Police and District Administrations to engage youth in self-employment initiatives and ensure prompt and quality grievance redressal for citizens.
The meeting also reviewed the winter preparedness of District Administrations. The Lieutenant Governor urged officials to remain vigilant and fully prepared to respond to any challenge during the winter season.
Commending the J&K Police personnel for their professional excellence and dedication, the Lieutenant Governor lauded their efforts in safeguarding national integrity and ensuring the safety of all citizens.
