Pathania Calls Farooq Abdullah’s Statement ‘Out of Line’, Seeks Clarification from Congress and Omar Abdullah
Udhampur: Ranbir Singh Pathania, MLA from Udhampur East, has strongly criticised Dr Farooq Abdullah’s statement, describing it as “absolutely off the hinge” and calling upon the Congress and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to clarify their position on the remarks.
Pathania said Jammu and Kashmir had been strengthened by the supreme sacrifices of its security forces, the Constitution of India and the resilience of its people, rather than by Pakistan, which he accused of unleashing tribal aggression in 1947 and sustaining terrorism in the region.
“Let the Congress-led INDIA bloc and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah clarify whether they endorse such statements,” Pathania said.
He further asserted that if the statement was found to be in violation of the Constitution or the law of the land, it should invite strict criminal action in accordance with the law.
Emphasising the resolve of the people of Jammu and Kashmir against terrorism, Pathania said they had stood firm against Pakistan-sponsored terror and would continue their fight until terrorism was completely eradicated from the region. ANB
