Jammu, 27 December 2025: An exhibition celebrating the remarkable life, vision, and contributions of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji was inaugurated at the BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, as part of the nationwide “Atal Smriti Varsh” programme organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party.
The exhibition was inaugurated by J&K BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma, BJP J&K General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul, and Lok Sabha MP Jugal Kishore Sharma. Following the inauguration, senior leaders paid floral tributes at the portrait of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji.
Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji was more than a political leader—he was an institution whose life continues to inspire generations. He highlighted Atal Ji’s unparalleled contributions to Indian politics and nation-building, noting that he led the country with maturity, balance, and courage even in the most challenging times. Sat Sharma added that Atal Ji strengthened India’s democratic ethos, upheld national interests firmly, and maintained dignity in political discourse. He further emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is carrying forward Atal Ji’s legacy by building a strong, self-reliant, and globally respected India.
Ashok Koul remarked that Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji represented principled politics grounded in ideology yet remained open to dialogue and consensus. He emphasized that through the Atal Smriti Varsh programme, the BJP aims to take Atal Ji’s ideals to the grassroots, particularly among youth, so they understand the values of nationalism, ethical governance, and principled politics.
Jugal Kishore Sharma said Atal Ji’s life reflected a unique blend of firm nationalism and compassionate governance. He noted that Atal Ji’s poetry revealed his deep sensitivity to society and humanity, while his policies laid the foundation for India’s modern infrastructure, connectivity, and strategic strength.
Among those present were J&K BJP Vice-Presidents Bharat Bhushan and Rekha Mahajan, General Secretaries Sanjita Dogra, Baldev Singh Billwarai, and Gopal Mahajan, MLAs Yudhvir Sethi, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, and Arvind Gupta, former MLA Ashwani Sharma, former MLC Adv.
