Jammu, December 27: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Friday held a Public Darbar at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan, Jammu, where he met a large number of public representatives and individuals to hear their grievances.
During the Public Darbar, several delegations highlighted issues related to civic amenities, development works, employment and other matters concerning public welfare. The Deputy Chief Minister listened patiently to the concerns raised and assured the delegations of timely redressal. He directed the concerned departments to take necessary action for prompt resolution of the issues.
The Public Darbar was convened by Provincial President Jammu, Rattan Lal Gupta, to facilitate direct interaction between the public and the Deputy Chief Minister.
Addressing the gathering, Rattan Lal Gupta said the initiative aimed at providing an effective platform for people to directly convey their grievances. He added that such interactions strengthen public trust and help ensure that genuine issues are addressed in a time-bound manner.
Interacting with the delegations, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary highlighted the good governance initiatives of the elected government led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. He said the government remains committed to transparency, accountability and people-centric governance, adding that all genuine public grievances would be addressed on priority to ensure inclusive development and effective service delivery.
