Budgam, May 19: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo, conducted an on-site inspection of the ongoing construction work of the 125-bedded District Hospital and the 100-bedded Critical Care Unit at Reshipora, Budgam. He was accompanied by the Chief Planning Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Budgam, Superintending Engineer and Executive Engineers of R&B, AEEs, and representatives from executing agencies.
During the visit, the DC reviewed various components of the under-construction facilities, assessing the pace, quality, and coordination of the work. He expressed satisfaction with the accelerated construction progress and lauded the collaborative efforts of all departments and agencies involved.
Significant structural milestones have been achieved, including the completion of the plinth beam, ground floor column and slab, as well as the first-floor column and slab. The second-floor column has also been completed, and work on the formwork and reinforcement for the second-floor slab is underway. The projects have reached a substantial stage of physical progress.
Emphasizing the importance of these healthcare projects, the DC reiterated the administration’s commitment to enhancing health infrastructure in Budgam. He underscored the need for timely completion, continuous monitoring, and interdepartmental coordination to swiftly address any arising challenges.
Labroo confirmed that both projects are progressing on schedule and that all stakeholders are working diligently toward early completion. Once operational, the District Hospital and Critical Care Unit will significantly enhance healthcare delivery in the region, providing specialized and advanced medical services to the residents of Budgam.
