Jammu: Syed Darakhshan Andrabi on Sunday visited the Eidgah at Residency Road in Jammu to review the on-ground arrangements for the upcoming Eid prayers.
The Waqf Board Chairperson was accompanied by Special Officer Auqaf Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Administrator Jammu Abid Hussain and other officials. During the visit, she inspected various facilities at the Eidgah and assessed the preparations being made for worshippers ahead of the festival.
Dr Andrabi directed the concerned officials to ensure proper cleanliness, adequate water supply, uninterrupted electricity and other essential services for the large number of devotees expected to offer prayers.
She said that the Eidgah hosts the largest Eid congregation in Jammu and therefore all necessary arrangements are being put in place to facilitate the visitors.
“Waqf Board, in coordination with different government departments and with the support of the public, will ensure that the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers are conducted smoothly and in a satisfactory manner, as has been done in previous years,” she said.
