Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Attends Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha in Raebareli

Raebareli, September 16, 2026: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, today attended the Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha in Raebareli in the presence of renowned spiritual preacher Pandit Pradeep Mishra Ji. Speaking on the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor said that the teachings of Lord Shiva represent a sacred spiritual journey for those seeking truth and inner enlightenment. He expressed gratitude to Uttar Pradesh Minister Shri Manoj Kumar Pandey for organising the spiritual gathering, observing that such events strengthen spiritual consciousness and bring renewed energy among people. He said that, just as gold is purified in fire, the company of saints and spiritual gatherings helps purify and rejuvenate the human spirit. Emphasising the principle of universal welfare, the Lieutenant Governor said that Sanatana Dharma has always promoted unity, harmony and the welfare of humanity. He observed that this ancient philosophy is increasingly finding global resonance. Referring to the recent BRICS Summit in Delhi, Shri Sinha said the timeless Indian philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — “the world is one family” — reflects the values of peace, cooperation and collective welfare. “What our ancestors envisioned millennia ago is now being embraced by nations worldwide as they move towards peace and harmony,” he said. The Lieutenant Governor also called upon society to remain vigilant against forces that seek to create divisions, stressing that unity remains one of India’s greatest strengths. He said that Sanatana culture has traditionally upheld diversity, harmony and the welfare of humanity. He urged saints and enlightened members of society to continue guiding people and contributing towards the nation’s comprehensive development. Expressing confidence in India’s future, Shri Sinha said that the spirit of unity would help the country realise its aspirations of becoming a developed nation while drawing inspiration from its rich civilisational heritage. “A time has come when we shall guide the world, and saints and enlightened members of society will play a vital role and bear great responsibility in this mission. The power of unity and its spirit will once again make India a developed nation, and I am fully confident that we shall regain our ancient glory,” the Lieutenant Governor said. ANB
