JAMMU, APRIL 01: Shreya Singhal, IAS, today assumed charge as Director Information, Jammu and Kashmir.
Soon after taking over, the Director convened an introductory meeting with senior officers and officials of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR).
Emphasizing the need for transparent, timely and people-centric dissemination of information, she underscored the department’s pivotal role as a bridge between the government and the public. She noted that effective communication is essential for enhancing awareness about developmental initiatives and welfare programmes.
Reiterating her commitment to modernizing communication strategies, Shreya Singhal highlighted the importance of integrating digital platforms, strengthening media coordination and fostering constructive engagement with stakeholders.
Joint Director Information (Headquarters) Dr Zahoor Ahmad Raina, Joint Director Information Jammu Deepak Dubey, Deputy Director Information (PR&AV) Javid Ahmad Rather, along with other senior officers and officials of DIPR, were present on the occasion.
