District Committee Approves Action Plan for Sustainable Development of Patnitop

UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 22: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa today chaired a meeting of the District Committee constituted under the Clean Himalayan and Hill Cities Initiative (CHHCI) to review and finalize the implementation plan for Patnitop. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh, Chief Executive Officer, Patnitop Development Authority, Rakesh Dubey, besides other concerned officers and members of the committee. The committee held a detailed discussion on various aspects of the initiative and reviewed the proposed measures for implementation at the ground level. It examined different components outlined under the CHHCI Action Plan and subsequently approved the implementation plan for Patnitop. The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments and officers to ensure timely and effective execution of the approved plan through proper planning, inter-departmental coordination and strict adherence to applicable rules and guidelines. Emphasizing the importance of coordinated efforts among all stakeholders, Minga Sherpa called for sustained attention towards cleanliness, environmental responsibility and sustainable development in Patnitop. He said that effective implementation of the initiative would contribute towards strengthening Patnitop as a clean, sustainable and environmentally responsible hill destination while ensuring better management of its natural and civic resources.
